SQL Project is a multi-platform (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux), multi-database, integrated development environment for people who create and maintain SQL scripts.
The Advanced SQL Editor (ASE) is built into SQL Project and all of its features are available.
Both of which are built into DataArchitect versions 2.1 and later.
SQL Project has the following features in addition to the ASE features:

- connect to any ODBC data source
- optional auto connect
- automatically used by any SQL files within project

- quickly browse your workspace objects
- ODBC browser
- quickly browse your ODBC resources
- edit multiple files at once using a familiar Multiple Document Interface (MDI)
- work with SQL and result sets side-by-side
- hide/relocate dock windows
- browser and output windows can be hidden or relocated
- toolbars can be relocated
- positions are auto restored upon application start
Requirements
ODBC sub-system
Requires a functional ODBC sub-system. All MS Windows platforms have an ODBC sub-system by default. However; UNIX operating systems do not, typically, have an ODBC sub-system by default (although this is starting to change). Fortunately; UNIX users can install the free, Open Source, ODBC sub-system from the unixODBC Project . Mac OSX users must install mac:ODBC before installing this application. mac:ODBC can be obtained from the same place where you received this distribution.
ODBC Drivers
You must have an appropriate ODBC driver for the data source with which you wish to work. Refer to the data source documentation for information on obtaining, installing and configuring your ODBC driver.

(Note to Mozilla users: Due to a bug in the Mozilla FTP client, you may have difficulties downloading the files. Please use a different FTP client.)
The demo is fully functional but has a 20 minute time out which causes the app to close (after any save). You can bring it back up again to start the process over.
For just $29.95, this program is an inexpensive entry into the new Data Architect product suite.
