tkcPuzzle is our version of the ancient and popular "Japanese Crossword" puzzle game. The name of this puzzle (solitary logic game) does not exactly reflects the purpose of the game. The are no "crossed words", but rather a coded picture of hieroglyph-like image. However when they were imported to Europe there was little interest in hieroglyphics and instead started doing coded pictures.
 How it works
The coding method is quite simple:
- A sheet of paper is divided into small squares. The borders (width and height) are set and the image is drawn inside these borders (so that the image consists of many black squares).
- The picture is made up of solid (black) squares, and blank squares. The clues are the numbers at the ends of rows and columns. The numbers are the number of consecutive black squares in that particular row or column. Important: the count goes from the right to the left and from the bottom to the top.
If you look at the screenshots closely you can see the pattern emerge of how you decipher the numbers and create the picture. There is also an excellent online tutorial we found online at http://eliteware.mastak.com/teach.shtml rather than copy it we are linking to it to give them their proper credit and traffic. tkcPuzzle is a really fun way to spend some time and challenge your mind.
